Bruce in Blue

He was trying to tell me a story and didn't want to sit still for my camera .. but the story got the better of him. This shot is one of my very favorites of him .. all that denim blue is just soooo Bruce.

Nanaimo has been our home since August 30, 2005, when we came west with the circus.

It's true ... through gushing rain that gave severely limited vision and no small amount of road anxiety, the big trucks of the circus rolled through the night with us toward the West Coast. That's how we knew we were doing the right thing in following our dream of living beside the ocean. After all, who doesn't dream of running away with the circus?
