Divot Drive

We know the Nanaimo city planners had a wacky sense of humour ... if you need more proof, here it is. Divot Drive intersects with Country Club Road. I have yet to find a Golf Cart Way, but maybe I just haven't looked hard enough.

Nanaimo has been our home since August 30, 2005, when we came west with the circus.

It's true ... through gushing rain that gave severely limited vision and no small amount of road anxiety, the big trucks of the circus rolled through the night with us toward the West Coast. That's how we knew we were doing the right thing in following our dream of living beside the ocean. After all, who doesn't dream of running away with the circus?
