Story time

The last few days have seen Bev and I revisiting some old sites and tramping over new ground.  The one thing that really struck me was how many of these sites could have been inspiration for an authors who delighted me as a child - Thornton Burgess, A.A. Milne, Beatrix Potter.  See if you agree.

All the woodland creatures are warned about the mossy tree at the center of the
forest - particularly when the moon is full and he can roam the woods for the night,
grabbing at children who are late coming home.

Hansel and Gretel were no doubt leary of ducking under branches like this to
find themselves in the dark of the forest.
